Earth Day Canada started in 1990, focusing on building resilient communities and connecting with nature. The organization promotes citizen education and action, plus business engagement. Earth Day Canada estimates 6 million Canadians participate.

Earth Day Hamilton Burlington officially kicked off in 1996 and has been growing every year! Hamilton’s enthusiastic volunteer communities plant trees and cleanup neighborhoods, parks and beaches.

All year long Hamiltonians recycle, shop with reusable bags, protect our parks and natural areas, support local farmers and businesses and say no to pesticides to protect the bees.
