Supercrawl and The Burnt Tongue

The Burnt Tongue on 10 Cannon Street had its grand opening during Supercrawl September 13, 2014! Since then, it’s grown a huge following of loyal regulars and expanded into a second location at 182 Locke St S.  This year The Burnt Tongue has done renovations to both spots and is re-opening to show them off for Supercrawl 2017, as well as, the Locke Street Festival!

Soup Success Story

The Burnt Tongue owners had a unique strategy for a restaurant.  Most eateries keep their menus fresh with changes and specials, but The Burnt Tongue goes a step farther and changes their soup menu every day!  And sometimes, even changes it again during the day’s service.  It’s important to let customers easily know the answer to “what’s the soup today?”, so they decided to post the menu every day on all social media platforms.  People checked in and it worked!.  You can read many great customer reviews online to see for yourself, or better yet, stop in for soup.

Menu/Hours

It’s reported they serve over 600 different and delicious soups in one year.  Their menu has expanded since the beginning to include burgers, salads, sandwiches, and widely acclaimed frites with sauces!

The Burnt Tongue is open 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday 11:30am – 8pm. It’s cafe style walk up order, for take out or eat in.
