Cactus in Dundas!
The Cactus Festival name is a tribute to Marika and Ben Veldhuis and their cactus greenhouses. Veldhuis’ cactus business flourished from 1951 until 1988, and put Dundas on the map as the Cactus Capital of Canada! Local favorite restaurant/bar, the Thirsty Cactus, carries on the name.
2017 shows included high flying bicycles and performing dogs! Can’t wait to see what 2018 brings!
