Brott Music Festival!

Hamilton has the immense good fortune to be home to the Brott Music Festival! Internationally renowned conductor Boris Brott created this unique non profit in 1988! BMF describes itself as a “full time orchestral music festival with world class soloists.” Brott Music Festival is dedicated to excellence and performing an eclectic range of music to engage audiences of all ages!

Boris Brott also established the National Academy Orchestra (NAO) as Canada’s only professional training orchestra. Emerging musicians learn how to develop a career playing the music they love.

Taking it on the Road!

Brott Music Festival has their home base/venue at 301 Bay St S.

More often, Brott takes their music on the road…bringing festival performances to audience venues all over Southern Ontario!  Brott Music Festival performs at First Ontario Concert Hall, Hamilton Convention Centre, Liuna Station, LR Wilson Hall, Fieldcote Museum, Burlington Performing Arts Centre, and churches across town.

Brott Music Festival Events are scheduled throughout the year and the full calendar can be found on their website!

For the Love of Music!

Brott Music Festival embraces a broad selection of music—from Mozart to The Beatles, 1940s Big Bands, Jazz, and Pop. Recent announcements of Brott live opera in Hamilton is creating local buzz and excitement! The Brott Chorus adds another amazing dimension to Festival events!

Brott Music Festival invests in education. Mentoring and encouraging young musicians to succeed is a core mission. Brott develops music education and appreciation programs for local school children.
