For the Love of Chocolate

It’s always a question for new customers to wonder about the unusual name. Regulars know that owner Lori Eisenberger combined her sons’ nicknames, Jacob aka Beaner and Mathew aka Munky, when she opened her first chocolate shop in the Downtown Hamilton Farmers Market in 2005.  Much to the delight of Dundas chocolate lovers, Beanermunky moved here in 2010, then added a Waterdown shop in 2015.

Lori Eisenberger is a a Master Chocolatier, crafting at the highest professional level after years of training and experience. She is supported by her happy team of chocolatier artisans!

Beanermunky selects rich Belgium chocolate, known for its high cocoa and cocoa butter content, to create their edible 3-dimensional “works of art.” Beanermunky models the century-old traditions of renowned Belgium chocolate shops, creating small handcrafted batches, from time-tested family recipes, using the finest quality cocoa.
