What we do.
A working inventory. Three disciplines. One studio.
Most engagements move between these three categories. Some clients come in for video and stay for platform work. Others come in for a platform rebuild and stay for the story that sells it. A few need all three from the start. Every item below is something we've produced, shipped, and stand behind.
Creative Content.
Video-led storytelling, plus the surrounding work that makes it land.
For Hamilton Rising the question is never just "a video." It is what role the piece plays in a larger system, what it has to carry, what platform it lives on, and what the audience is supposed to do next. Brand documentary production, founder story films, commercial video, national TV spots, brand and editorial photography, live and virtual production. The craft is in the cinematography and the writing. The value is in how each piece connects to the rest of the system the client runs.

Digital Experiences.
Platforms and applications built so the content has somewhere meaningful to live.
The site is the platform, not just a marketing channel. Custom platform builds, ground-up. Custom CMS where the project earns one. Headless architecture, design systems, platform ecosystem builds for organizations whose digital footprint outgrew an off-the-shelf solution. The work runs on edge-deployed infrastructure (GitHub repos, Cloudflare Workers, Vercel) and ships as code the client owns, not as configuration locked inside someone else's platform.

Integration & Implementation.
Connecting content and platforms to the moments that matter.
Most engagements end at the deliverable. Ours extend through it. Digital ecosystem design, content system architecture, and the integration work that connects content, platform, CRM, LMS, and operations into one coherent system. Custom CRM and LMS builds for organizations whose digital footprint outgrew an assembly of disconnected SaaS subscriptions. Operations integration, internal adoption planning, multi-phase rollouts. The work is measured in years, not deliverables.

How we build.
Custom from the ground up. Whatever the project warrants, we build to suit, not to fit.
Front-end design, then engineered code. GitHub-versioned. Edge-deployed via Cloudflare or Vercel. Custom CMS where the project warrants it. The result is a site that performs the way modern sites are supposed to perform, and an asset the client owns end to end, not a configuration locked inside someone else's platform.
The same workflow we use for our own studio is the workflow we deliver to clients. This site is an example.
How engagements
usually start.
You can enter anywhere in this list. Most of our long-term client relationships started with one deliverable and grew from there. A documentary film became a four-year digital strategy engagement. A platform foundation became a national commercial. A single brand video became a full ecosystem.
Common questions.
Does Hamilton Rising do both video and web?
- Yes. The studio is built around three integrated disciplines: creative content (brand documentary, commercial video, founder story films), digital experiences (custom platform builds, design systems, headless architecture), and the integration work that ties them to operations. Most engagements involve at least two of the three, and a meaningful share involve all three.
Do you build custom platforms or just websites?
- Both, ground-up. Custom platforms (CMS, CRM, LMS), bespoke web applications, design systems, and editorial tooling. Edge-deployed on GitHub, Cloudflare Workers, and Vercel. The work ships as code the client owns, not as configuration locked inside someone else's platform. The marketing site you are reading is itself an example of the work.
What does "digital ecosystem" mean in your terms?
- A digital ecosystem is a coherent system where content, platforms, customer journeys, and operations are designed together rather than assembled from disconnected SaaS subscriptions. Most companies treat their website, CRM, content tool, email platform, and internal operations as separate buys. Hamilton Rising designs them as one connected system, with the work of integration as the discipline that makes them behave like an ecosystem instead of a portfolio.
Where are you based and what regions do you serve?
- Hamilton, Ontario, since 2018. The practice works across the Golden Horseshoe (Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Vaughan, Markham), the Niagara region (St. Catharines, Niagara Falls), and nationally for select clients. Engagements happen on-site, remote, and hybrid depending on what the work requires.
How long are typical engagements?
- Two patterns. Production engagements (campaign-grade photo and video for a defined deliverable) run weeks to months. System engagements (digital ecosystem design, custom platform builds, multi-year content programs) run multiple years, often starting from a single deliverable and expanding when the client realizes the work spans all three of the studio's disciplines.
The work expands because the thinking is consistent across all three disciplines, and because we stay at the table.
