Arts Education Mission!
Centre partners with Hamilton organizations to bring arts education into the community.
One collaboration is called the NuSteel alternative arts education program. Centre and Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board offer this program to interested students. It’s project-based arts at Centre coordinated with school academic subjects.
Another Centre collaboration with Hamilton schools, grades 3-12, is called SSAS (Schools in the Studio, Artists in the Schools). Centre takes printmaking to the students’ schoolroom. Other times, the students come to Centre to experience 2 hours in the studio! Centre coordinates with educators to craft a curriculum based art program.
